"Hearty one dish meal. I always serve it with some crusty, hot fresh breadto get the last of the juices! This is so yummy I wish I could take total credit for it but I revised it slightly from The Pampered Chef's Stoneware Sensations Cookbook. Hope you enjoy it as much as we do! NOTE: Per request I revised this from my original post to reduce fat and..."

"One of my all-time favorite Greek Dishes! The Egg-Lemon Sauce and squeezed lemon wedges really makes this dish delicious! If you can't find ground lamb you can just use ground beef. Further, I sometimes use ground turkey! However if you do, you need to make sure this dish is cooked throughly."

"I created this on the fly one evening, and even my very picky son liked it well enough that he wants to have it again. You can save some time by cooking the lentils and couscous while the vegetables simmer. I serve it as a vegetarian main dish, but it could be a side dish just as easily. Za'tar is a mixture of thyme and sesame seeds, and sumac is..."

"We've got a new local dairy (in such a small country, local also means national), that makes some of the best cheeses (and soy milk and soy puddings). This recipe really showcases their ricotta and feta cheeses. This is a great vegetarian dish to serve, we usually have some kind of variation after the Yom Kippur fast day. I also like to add some za'atar..."

"Great potluck dish for hot weather - no mayo, and enjoyed by all, even non-vegetarians. For a party, buy the large frozen tortellini available at grocery stores, and increase the quantities of all other ingredients. From one of my favorite healthy cookbooks, 'Eat, Shrink and Be Merry.'"

"Every September Salt Lake has an amazing Greek Festival. Back in 2001 I got a pamphlet of Greek recipes from the festival. This rice pilaf is very similar to the rice pilaf served at my favorite Greek restaurant. Opa!"
