Did not like this at all. Chicken was too lemony, and the sauce was too bitter.

Quick and light warm day meal. I used mint instead of dill because my husband doesn't like dill, which turned out fine however, would have been better with the dill. I marinated the chicken for 3 hours and think it could have used even longer. We will make these again! Served with a greek salad...delicious!

So good. I had low expectations for this recipe because when I go out I only order lamb or beef gyros but this right here is a KEEPER. The only thing I did differently was to add the onions to the marinade and cook it with the chicken and I also used a little butter to saute the chicken so it would get too dry or burn in the pan. I didn't make the cucumber sauce since I found the best store bought Tzatziki Sauce at Costco, I refuse to bother making it.

Bf and I loved this! I made mostly as written. I marinaded the chicken for about 3 hours instead of 1 and was forced to use FF sour cream instead of yogurt (I could have sworn I had yogurt in the fridge!). It was so good! The sour cream gave it a thicker consistency, and although I'm a fan of cucumber yogurt sauce, I really enjoyed it this way. We had it for lunch before we both had to work a late shift and it was just what we needed! Thanks for a real winner!

Very good flavor. I used my food processor to make the cucumber sauce.

To much lemon and not enough flavor. Will try again without the lemon and add more spices for flavor.

It was so delicious! I loved them and the cucumber sauce was awesome, I made double the amount of sauce because my fiance and I usually go heavy on sauces and it was a good thing I did because we used all of it! yummy.

It was wonderful! I made the yogurt sauce with fresh dill, garlic paste, lemon juice, salt, and black pepper... it accompanied the chicken quite well! :) Thanks for posting!

I'm not a very experienced cook but I tried this recipe tonight after having Gyros for the first time last week at a diner and it came out amazing! Thank you!

We were disappointed in this. The chicken was good, but we did not care for the sauce. This could be because we frequent the best greek place in the state and are used to their sauce. I'll keep the marinade recipe (the fresh lemon juice makes it!!), but I think I will look for another sauce.

Just like the Greek Restaurants!!! I needed to make this fast, so I didn't even marinate. I just sliced the chicken really thin, put all the ingredients in the wok, and let it simmer till the chicken was cooked. I imagine that if I had had time to marinate the chicken, it would have tasted even better. My three children loved it too!!!

Loved it! I even got my picky 5yr old to eat it, so a big THANK YOU! I used greek yogurt and ommited the dill, and added a little olive oil and lemon juice to the sauce. And added S&P to everything. ; )

Pretty good recipe. To be honest when i seen the recipe i thought it was too simple to be that good. My review is just for the chicken because i already had tizeke (or however you spell it) sauce on hand. I only let it marinade for an hour but i did cut the chicken thin so i could taste them marinade in every bite.

We made these gyros for dinner last night and really enjoyed them! They were flavorful and easy to make. I used greek yogurt. The only changes I made were to double all of the ingredients to serve 4 (which worked well) and to add a little salt to my cucumber yogurt sauce. I served with Greek Village Salad (Nick and Marina Makris Horiatiki Salad) 305776, which was very complimentary. I would make these gyros again. Thanks for a nice meal!

I've made this recipe several times and we love it!! Chicken comes out so moist and very flavorful. My husband does not care for cucumber sauce so we usually have it with a sauce similar to onion dip.
