Corn Moussaka

"this is an easy Moussaka recipe that tastes great and suits the international taste. I found this in a magazine more years ago than I wish to say. It's even better warmed up."

  • Spread corn in an ungreased, shallow 1 1/2 qt.
  • casserole dish.
  • In a skillet, brown ground beef; drain off excess fat.
  • Add flour; cook& stir for 1 minute.
  • Stir in tomato sauce, garlic salt and cinnamon; pour over corn in dish.
  • Bake@ 350 deg.
  • for 15 minutes.
  • Meanwhile, combine eggs& cottage cheese; spread over meat mixture.
  • Top with parmesan and mozzarella.
  • Bake 10- 15 minutes more.

  2. I know you won't believe me but I had that very same magazine and cut out that recipe years ago. It is a tried and true staple when corn is ripe in my backyard . Those were the days, tough, a young hungry family and a quick to .make nourishing meal. Thank you.

We live in the Pacific Northwest where the scenery and food is great. Portland has some of the best restaurants in the country. My wife and I love to experiment with different cuisines and enjoy just about any type of food. I love sauces and gravies and enjoy trying different ones with different dishes.
