Loved these! Very easy to make and were super tasty. A real change from the usual beef burgers

Very good!!! One of the best burgers I've had. Used veal instead of lamb (sold out everyone must be making these) mixed finely chopped onion and feta crumble into the meat mixture. A must for any burger lover.

Very good! DH was pleased. He also mentioned perhaps adding some minced onion, to break up the density of the burger. He liked the little bit of spice that the chili flakes added also. The mint in these is nice. Great use for fresh mint from our garden. We served them on wheat hamburger buns.

Exceptional! I made lamb burgers for the first time about two months ago and enjoyed them. Tonight I used this recipe and both my husband and I agree that this was one of our favorite meals in quite some time (even the more elaborate seafood menus) . I didn't have any fresh mint so I substituted by adding some mint jelly to the mix and it gave just the right hint of flavor. Both of us agree that it tastes just like a gyro. Thanks Bergy!

I substituted ground beef for ground lamb, and it was still fabulous. My husband thought this was the best burger he's EVER had, and that's saying a lot, since burgers are his favorite food. We had them with feta, sliced tomato, and sliced onions, and it was perfect. Added some minced onion and minced garlic to the burger meat for added flavor. Thanks for this one!!

I ate mine without a bun and with cucumbers and tomatoes on the side--a luscious burger, Bergy! Thanks!

I gave DH his plate and sent him to the family room and began fixing my own plate when I heard "this is so (expletive-ing)good!" Obviously he loved it and I did too. I made a few changes. First I used 1 pound of lamb and didn't bother measuring anything else. I left out the chili flakes, just 'cause I knew DH wouldn't like it. I wound up with 5 small burgers roughly shaped like flat-ish ovals so that they would fill the pita bread halves. I cooked them in a pan with the mushrooms. Next time I will be grilling. Not that pan frying wasn't great, but just because, as good as the pan frying is, I bet grilling would be that much better. I topped DH burgers with havarti cheese because he doesn't like feta and I had some havarti in the fridge. Mine I did with the feta, YUM! I made a mixture of cucumber, yogurt, garlic, mint and dill and added it to the pitas rather than just slicing the cucs. DH said it tasted like a gyro. No tomatoes, just 'cause they didn't look very good when I went shopping. I didn't really miss them either but when my home grown tomatoes come in I'll be trying them with this. Very good with a greek style salad and potato wedges with oregano, mint, dill and garlic and extra hunks of feta (love that stuff). Thanks for a great recipe. We really enjoyed this meal and will be making it again and again.
