  1. Substituted Greek for plain yogurt and used 4 large pressed garlic cloves. Served with pita bread and Greek Walnut Honey Cake (recipe #46029). Very flavorful. Made 6 overstuffed pitas.

  3. I haven't even refrigerated this yet, but it tastes delicious! I halved the recipe & left out the olives. Thank you!!! Going to stuff this salad in some homemade pocket pitas...Can't wait for dinner tonight:)

  4. Wow! This one is a definite keeper. I loved it, DH liked it. We grilled the chicken breasts on the BBQ before chopping them up. I used a little extra kalamata in order to finish off the jar. I used three huge garlic cloves (i love garlic), which really came through in the salad (and on my breath!). I loved all the combinations of flavors. I liked this recipe especially because it uses more Greek yogurt (which I typically have on hand) than mayo (which I have a bit of an aversion to in large quantities). Chilled the salad for 2 hours and then served in pita pockets for lunch. I will definitely make this recipe again. Thanks, Paula! Made for ZWT6.

  5. This was really fresh and delicious. I thought it was going to be just okay and I wondered what about the salt and pepper? No problem. The feta cheese makes it salty enough. Made for ZWT 6.

RECIPE SUBMITTED BY

I came to this site in March of 2004. It was then called Recipezaar. This site was the first on-line site that I ever joined. I first popped in 2003 while searching for a Peach Cobbler Recipe. In March of 2004, DH was having shoulder surgery and I was looking for a Split Pea Soup. Once again I found myself on Zaar as it came to be called. Over the years I hung out and learned from some of the best home cooks in the country, I posted over 700 recipes on the site, reviewed over 3500 recipes and posted over 3000 food photos. Over the next 10 years the site made many changes and in 2010 it was sold to to Food Network and became Food.com. Until last year we played games, talked and shared with one another. As a result of the community and the relationships I built I got to meet some wonderful people from all over the country. I also have a great number of friends that I have never meet face to face. Some of us still hang out at various places across the net. Zaar was more than a cooking community. It was an internet community of friendship. Life is an adventure ever changing.
