1. 5 stars 'cause it ain't easy to make a mix with ouzo, or A'arag as Arabs call it. I add a few drops of grenadine if the booze is over powering, and use fresh ingredients.

 2. Sorry, but I'm still trying to develop my taste for Ouzo. I had to add about 6 times the amount of orange juice and that saved the drink for me. Made for the *Family Pick Round* of *ZWT 6* I'm cooking with team *Ya Ya Cookerhood*

 3. Oh so refreshing, especially when you 'accidentally' make too much on a warm Spring night. I loved the lemon juice in this because it cut down on the sweetness of the ouzo. I used freshly squeezed lemon and orange juice and served with a lemon slice. Made for ZWT6 for the No-Nonsense Nibblers. Thanks Sarah_Jayne! :)

 4. Very good cocktail. I never drink ouzo so it was a nice change. Made for ZWT 6.

 5. This had a very interesting flavor for me. I couldn't quite decide if I liked it or not. I like ouzo but this was just not the drink for me. I see others like it very much so it is just a personal preferance. Made for the Babes of ZWT4.

Tweaks

 1. Made with pastis, was tart. Cut the lemon in half with sambuca and was very enjoyable. Will be trying with Ouzc as soon as I can get it.

I am originally from the Philadelphia area of the United States but have been living in London, UK since 1996. I now have dual American and British citizenship. I became a widow at the age of 27 in 2004 but have managed to fall in love again and was married again on July 19, 2008. I have a double major honors degree in sociology and politics and am slowly working my way through a Masters. I am a wanabee writer but until that dream becomes a reality I work in internet marketing where I build websites for profit. So, it is nice to come to a site like this and just enjoy being on the internet rather than using it as a work environment. I am a BBW (big woman) but over the past two years I have lost over 80lbs and am working my way down the scales slowly but steadily. These days, I am trying to eat a lot less meat. So, I am trying to have as many vegetarian recipes in the week as I can manage. I have started a blog - Weekend Carnivore where I blog about trying to eat a mostly vegetarian diet. I share a lot of my discovered recipes there. If I make one of your vegetarian recipes and I managed to take a good photo of it, chances are I will blog about it and tell everybody how much I enjoyed it.
