1. This is outstanding! My vinegar-loving family went nuts over this salad! I used sweet onion, dried oregano and Yukon Gold potatoes with the skins on. We ate it at room temperature. When I went to serve leftovers for lunch today I found that my son had eaten it all. Guess I'll have to make more soon. This is a winner Greekgal - Thanks!

 2. Prefer oil and vinegar potato salads, so this was totally up my alley. Great flavors, very quick to throw together. I followed another reviewer and added salt and pepper to this also.

 3. I just made an almost identical recipe from the Frugal Gourmet cookbook and enjoyed it very much. I did add some salt and pepper to mine but neglected to rub the bowl with garlic (my loss!).

I love cooking Greek, but I have an American cookbook from the late 30s that I simply love. My Greek cookbooks are important to me since for many years the Greek ladies did not openly share their recipes. Their secret ingredient was coveted and they actually waited for the compliments. It took hours to prepare, so praise was important. Every holiday was a real focal point in my life because it involved the entire family and wonderful food. I love being served something that is fantastic and getting the recipe for it. Making friends feel special in my home is very important to me.

<img src=http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b399/susied214/permanent%20collection/untitled.jpg border=0 alt=Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting />
