Greek Seasoning Mix

I used this mix tonight on a couple of Cornish hens...YUM!!

• Prep Time: 5 mins
• Cook Time: 0 mins

Ingredients:

Yield: 0.25 cup

• 2 teaspoons dried oregano
• 2 teaspoons salt
• 1 ½ teaspoons onion powder
• 1 ½ teaspoons garlic powder
• 1 teaspoon cornstarch
• 1 teaspoon black pepper
• 1 teaspoon dried parsley flakes
• 1 teaspoon paprika
• ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
• ½ teaspoon ground nutmeg
• ½ teaspoon thyme

Directions:

1. Combine all ingredients.
2. Store in an airtight container.
3. Serve with red meat, pork, poultry, or fish.
4. Yield: 1/4 cup.

This is very good and easy to make as it was made up of things I already had in the cabinet (ie. no strange spices). I had a recipe that called for greek seasoning and I couldn't find it at my local grocery store. So I used this instead and it turned out great. Thanks so much!

Very nice seasoning. I used it in Potatoes Savoyard and it had a very good taste. I left out the cornstarch, because I was afraid here in Florida it might make is to damp. Can't wait to try it on other things. Thanks, Carole in Orlando

[Nougat]

Made this up the other night to use for Greek Diced Potatoes #41695, on the grill. Worked great! Tasted wonderful and was very easy to put together, made exactly as posted. Thank you!
