- 236.59 ml feta cheese, crumbled
- 59.14 ml olive, sliced (black or Kalamata)
- 14.79 ml steak sauce
- 4.92 ml lemon juice
- 29.58 ml mayonnaise
- 6 hamburger patties
- 3 pita bread, cut in half
- tomatoes, slices (optional)
- shredded lettuce (optional)
directions
- Preheat oven to 425°F.
- Cook hamburgers until done.
- Combine cheese, olives, steak sauce, lemon juice, and mayo.
- Place hamburgers in pita bread and spoon topping over hamburgers.
- Heat at 425F for 5 minutes.
- Add tomato and lettuce (optional).

Always having a supply of (homemade) hamburger patties in the freezer, lunch was a breeze for this working mom today! I took out the patties before I went to work, put together the topping while I was grilling the burgers, toasted the pitas and assembled. Couldn't have been easier - or tastier. The kids thought they were way cool (even in Greece we're traditionalists and I usually use buns for my burgers). Thanks.
