Yummy! I've tried yogurt pancakes before and not been impressed, but these were very tasty and the whole family enjoyed them. I doubled the recipe, used a 16 oz container of vanilla Greek yogurt. Served with homemade honey syrup which nicely complimented the yogurt tang. Thanks for sharing the recipe!
I tried these pancakes with all purpose flour, and self raising flour, they were delicious with both. I don't know if I made them any healthier, but I then tried them with 3 tablespoons whole wheat flour and 4 tablespoons buckwheat flour, and changed the sugar to 2 tablespoons Splenda sugar substitute and added 1 teaspoon vanilla instead of 1/2. They were absolutely delicious topped with sliced banana and sugar free maple syrup. Excellent recipe Boomette. Thank you.
Delicious but on what planet does this recipe make 12 pancakes? I got about 7 very small pancakes out of it.
Wow! These are the best! They turned out perfect and I love the protein they provide. I used to make some pancakes with cottage cheese run through the blender, but these are much easier. They even taste great eaten right out of your hand without any toppings. I just bought some more greek yogurt so I can make them again. Thanks for posting!
Made these with Light Blueberry Sauce from food.com, really good together! I'm not sure why the recipe states not to worry about making sure it is all combined well...kinda weird. I stirred mine together until thoroughly mixed and they turned out great. They seem to stick with you longer than regular pancakes.
my whole family absolutely loved these, had to make a second batch because they couldn't stop eating them.
I love these pancakes! I add cinnamon and the flavor is really great with the tangy yogurt flavor.
We loved these pancakes! They remind me of sourdough pancakes. They came out so light and fluffy. I've made other yogurt pancake recipes and they come out a little rubbery. As long as we have Greek yogurt in the house this will be our "go to" pancake recipe.
Excellent recipe, Boomette. It's practically flourless. But, you should have told us how HEALTHY it is with its low fat, low carbs and low sugar. The kids loved these pancakes, especially with the addition of chocolate chips.
The only thing I would change is the cooking time. I cooked them on a temperature controlled griddle at 375 degrees F, and found that they needed a little extra time due to the wet batter.
Boomie, I loved these pancakes. They were the best. Light, fluffy, tender and full of flavor. Made the recipe exactly as written, but used a nice thick, greek blackberry yogurt, that was wonderful in this recipe. The pancakes are worth the extra effort. I garnished them simply with a pat of butter and some icing sugar. Thank you so much for sharing a recipe that I plan on enjoying often. I will be adding this recipe to my favorites cookbook for 2011.
