For the Burgers
- 566.99 g lean ground beef
- 4.92 ml dried oregano
- 56.69 g crumbled feta cheese
- 4.92 ml onion powder
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- salt and pepper
- 4 small pita bread
- 1 small tomatoes, sliced thin
- 1 medium cucumber, peeled and sliced thin
- 1 small red onion, sliced thin
- 236.59 ml lettuce leaf

For the Tzatziki
- 236.59 ml plain Greek yogurt or 236.59 ml sour cream
- 1 garlic clove, minced
- 0 of a large cucumber, peeled, grated, and excess water squeezed out
- 9.85 ml finely chopped of fresh mint or 9.85 ml dill
- 14.79 ml red wine vinegar
- salt and pepper
directions
- Combine yogurt, shredded cucumber, garlic, mint, vinegar, salt and pepper in a small container. Cover and refrigerate.
- Combine beef, oregano, feta cheese, onion powder, garlic, salt and pepper in a bowl. Form into 4 patties.
- Grill patties on each side until desired doneness is reached.
- Grill pitas for a minute or two on each side to warm.
- Assemble sandwiches - open pitas, add burger, a dollop of sauce, and any of the sliced vegetables listed above for garnish. Enjoy!

Really enjoyed this recipe. The burgers were tasty and the tzatziki was fabulous. Grating the cuke was something I hadn't tried before. Much better than chopped cuke. We added a tahini and lemon sauce to the pitas along with all the toppings. Served with onion fries and some olives and such from the olive bar at the grocery store. A big bowl of red grapes and it was a wonderful feast.
