Super Awesome! This was very fresh & delicious! Served on chicken pita sandwiches with tomatoes, kalamata olives & feta. SO GOOD!! Thanks!!

Another terrific recipe, Kittencal! I modified, based on what I had on hand. I used 2 c. of yogurt and 1 good sized seedless cucumber, julienned, which works fine unless you serve it with cole slaw, which made for a monotonous plate! I used a salad spinner on the cucumber. Used barely 1 t. garlic, and combined yogurt, garlic, salt, and maybe 1/2 t. dried mint all at once. Folded in spun cucumber shreds. Added a swirl of EVOO and a bit more salt. Only chilled for 30-40 minutes because the burgers were coming off the grill. Wonderful.

this was so yummy. i chopped the de-seeded cucumbers in the blender, then drained the liquid through a strainer. I love tzatziki...and now i can control what's in it much more to my liking. i will definitely make this again

Absolutely superior. If you can't find Greek yogurt, try straining regular plain yogurt as Kitten suggests. It loses about a third of its volume and becomes thick and creamy (even with low fat yogurt). The mint and garlic flavors are wonderful.

I really did not like this recipe and I'm not sure why. I didn't have mint so perhaps that's why I didn't care for it. It also got really watery even though I drained the cucumbers as directed and used a really high-quality greek yogurt. Most likely, I did something wrong but I don't think I'll be making this again.

So good! The flavor is spot on for other tzatziki I have tried. I have to admit while following the recipe ingredients exactly (except for halving), I pretty much dumped all the ingredients in a bowl and mixed :) I used greek yogurt, which helped, but would probably actually follow the part about draining the cucumber, after a day in the fridge there was a tad of liquid seeping out, but not enough to stop me from eating it! Great recipe, thanks for posting!

I keep forgetting to rate this! I have made it about once a week since I joined Zaar!!! :) I love Greek food, and DH has learned to love it too. One of my favorite snacks is toasted pitas and this Tzatziki! This is also great with Kittencal's Ground Beef and Feta Rice Balls #362630! (SO Delicious!) Thanks KITT! I will be making this forever!

This is the best tzatziki on Zaar. I've made tzatziki so many ways so many times and this is the best. We use it for so many things besides just Greek food. It cools down curries and is so nice and refreshing, especially in the summer.

I can't believe I haven't rated this before-I make it often and it is simply DELICIOUS!!! I do the straining of plain, lowfat yogurt because that is what I always have on-hand. I salt and drain my cucumbers well. I add about 1/2 tsp. evoo and lemon juice per cup of yogurt. I like to serve w/ gyros, or Greek roasted chicken, pork, potatoes, green beans-like Greek-Style Roasted Chicken Legs, Potatoes and Capers-yum! Thank you, Kitten, for a great recipe!!!

This is delicious. I did change it up a bit, so I don't know if it would be considered authentic Tzatziki. I halved the recipe, since there are only two of us, and found that even 2 cups of Greek Yogurt was WAY too much, so I cut back on it. I added some honey, just a touch, for sweetness, and what could be more Mediterranean than Rosemary....so I added some very finely minced rosemary. I served it all over baby Arugula garnished with Feta cheese. I also added just a very small amount of extra fine minced shallot. It was delicious.

I just found this to be OK. I cut the cucumbers into what I thought was a fine size and the Tzatziki came out like lumpy cucumber salad with yogurt dressing. I loved the yog-cheese - had forgotten about this. However, was not impressed overall. I would probably chop the cucumbers in the food processor next time.

Thanks Kitten for another great recipe. Loved this made just as directed. I'll have to work harder at getting all the water out as mine came out with to much. But the taste was wonderful and you are right - the Greek Yogart made a big differance. Served this along with Tikki Masala and it was nice and cool with the hot spicy meal.

This is quite tasty - both with and without the mint. I've made it twice already and used Fage brand 2% Greek Yogurt both times.

This was so good. I was surprised at how the simple ingredients blended together to form such a great taste! When I first looked at it I thought it would taste like yogurt with chopped cucumber, but it magically turned into that wonderful Tsatsiki sauce. I used about 1-2 Tbsp of olive oil per cup of yogurt. Thank you for the great recipe!

This was absolutely the BEST. Other than making half the recipe, I changed nothing. I love this. I made it to go with a pan of spanakopita and grilled yellow squash. OMG - it was a delicious Greek dinner.

Love tsatsiki; loved this recipe! I only ever buy Greek yoghurt, and wholeheartedly endorse KITTENCAL's comment that if you try it you just won't want to eat other yoghurts. I didn't peel my cucumbers: I always use a thin-skinned Lebanese variety of cucumbers and I doubled the garlic (personal taste preference). This is a fabulous recipe which I'll certainly make again. We enjoyed it with Morg Kebab (Iranian Skewered Chicken) Morg Kebab (Iranian Skewered Chicken) and a simple salad. Thanks for sharing!
