    This is my own concoction. I'm really pleased with the results. The anise flavour of the ouzo is very nice with the citrus. Use your citrus of choice - I make it with all 3, depending on what I'm in the mood for and what's at hand.

    Ingredients:

    • 1 ounce ouzo (or to taste)
    • orange juice or grapefruit juice or lemonade
    • 1 tablespoon grenadine

    Directions:

    1. 1
      Fill a highball glass with ice. Add all ingredients to a shaker and do a little dance -- Pour into highball glass and enjoy!

      Very interesting concoction, indeed. I made it with orange/grapefruit juice and it was ok. I am used to drinking ouzo as the french drink pernod or ricard, which are very similar aniseed drinks to ouzo, with some plain water to make it all misty and a splash of grenadine.

      Well this was interesting. I think you have to develop a taste of ouzo, which is so different to me. I used a lemon-lime drink (Sierra Mist)in place of the fruit drinks and didn't have a highball glass so just used a tumbler, thus no photo for this one. Thanks EV
