Sour Cream Tzatziki

"I wanted a tangy Tzatziki sauce, but didn't have any plain yogurt on hand. This recipe is made with sour cream instead of plain yogurt, and tastes WONDERFUL!"

ingredients

• 177.44 ml sour cream
• 1 cucumber, grated
• 14.79 ml dill (I used dried)
• 1 garlic clove, grated
• 14.79 ml lemon juice
• sea salt

directions

1. Mix all ingredients in a bowl.

I made this today and thought it was delicious. Although the recipe didn't say to, I drained my grated cucumbers through a strainer & let them sit awhile to get the water out so it wouldn't be so runny and it turned out great!

Turned out fine for me! I always use full fat sour cream though. And I probably didn’t add the full amount of lemon juice. Definitely a keeper recipe.

Pretty good. The four stars is because it turned out a little too runny for my tastes. This may be because I used reduced fat sour cream, though. It's quick, easy and really tasty! Definitely a keeper!

Its 105 outside and I wanted something cold and refreshing to snack on. Didnt have any yogurt to make the more traditional style, and in this heat i dont want to leave the air conditioned house to go to the store. Found this recipe and I did have an entire container of sour cream. Followed the recipe and let sit in the fridge for an hour. Used it as dip for fresh veggies however, it is really runny (which is why only 4 stars). It does have lots of flavor, but it doesnt really stick to the carrots/celery/cucumbers. Might have to use it as a dressing instead.
