i really liked the seasoning on the meat. Was a nice break from my usual tenderloin preparation. we were not crazy about the parsley but i think that is more a personal preference than anything.

Excellent recipe! We marinated the cubed tenderloin overnight and, because we ran out of gas for the BBQ (aaargh!), had to saute the meat in a pan on the stovetop. Still tasted yummy - tender and flavourful! I bought garlic-flavoured Naan bread (the pita bread was not fresh) and warmed it through to make it soft for wrapping around the fixings. OH, and I took photos - hope to post soon! Thanks for sharing, Evelyn. : )

This is fabulous. Since I first tried this, I have not used any other Souvlaki recipe.

Amazing recipe!!. I made a greek dinner 2 nights ago. I had plenty of tzaztiki, pita bread, tomatoes, onions and greek salad left over. I decided to make this souvlaki recipe. I am so glad I did. The flavors are awesome!! I only marinated this for about 5 hours. I can only imagine what this would taste like if you marinated overnight. This recipe is a keeper!! I also didn't bbq the pork. I stir fried the pork pieces in my wok and it turned out fine.

Ok Evelyn...you're a GENIUS!!! This was to die for!!!! I marinated for just shy of 24 hours. Used 2 pounds of pork tenderloin and slightly increased the rest of the marinade ingredients to offset the additional meat. INCREDIBLE!! I used to be a huge fan of gyros but I think this has surpassed my love of gyros!!! We ate well tonight. I never even got to char the pita's...had to nuke them slightly but no matter as they were fabulous!! The flavor here is out of this world. The tzatziki was a phenomenal addition. I take my tzatziki seriously and I worried that this might not be as flavorful as others I've tried but let me tell you...this was the perfect accompaniment to this souvlaki!!! WOW! Highly recommend...that's all I can say!

What a treat!! We just love pork tenderloin and I was looking for something new to do with it on the grill and boy am I glad I stumbled upon your recipe for Souvlaki! Talk about melt-in-your-mouth flavor party...WHO HOO!! This recipe was super easy - mix a few ingredients, put it in a ziplock bag in the fridge, and forget about it...the longer the better. Gotta love that!! You can't go wrong because you already start with a winning piece of meat by using the pork tenderloin. I also used your recipe for tzatziki, which is going to recieve another great review from me, and along with some sliced red onion and halved juicy grape tomatoes and we wrapped it all up in flour tortillas (not a fan of pita bread). We talked about this for days after we had it and we kept forgetting the name (the souvlaki and the tzatziki) and how to pronounce them. I don't know why, but sometimes we will "name" food for pure entertainment and we decided that this recipe in our house will from now on be known as "Mike Wazowski" (it's a really long story). Thanks! for this GREAT! recipe! :)

Awesome recipe. I only had about an hour before dinner so there was no time to marinade overnight but the results were still spectacular. I divided the marinade and put half on the chicken and pork . I cut up a couple onions and a couple peppers into 1" pieces. I put the mairinade on the veggies immediately before I threw them on my preheated BBQ wok. While the veggies started to cook, I skewered the meat and then threw it on the grill. I followed the directions for the greek pita bread and was very impressed. That was what my souvlaki had always been missing!! Thanks for sharing.

This was good and worth trying once. I was concerned there wouln't be enough marinade for the meat, but the amount was perfect. My family enjoyed it but I probably won't make it again.

Wonderful! I used tip sirloin steaks sliced thin instead of the pork, but the marinade was perfect. Great flavor!

This turned out great! I marinated the pork for a day. I just set it out on the broiler rather than using the skewers. Very easy and quick, once the marinade was put together.

Just had this for dinner - used lamb neck fillet, which I know is not traditional, but it was what I had to hand. I liked the addition of chilli flakes and worcestershire. I also added some red wine, as I can't do a souvlaki marinade without it! The key is the dried oregano - preferably not the little jars from the supermarket, but your own. We started cutting our fresh oregano last summer and drying it and it definately gives an authentic ring to any Greek or Italian dish. SO much different to fresh - one of the very few herbs (if not the only one) which benefit from drying.

Everyone loved this recipe! Including me. The meat was tender, and the flavor was terrific. I used pitas and the Tzatsiki sauce with tomatoes and red onion on the side. Very good......

These were really good. I used stir fry beef, because it came in thin strips and it ended up being easier to eat. I only was able to marinate it for a few hours, so I think next time I will try to be on top of it enough to do it over night. I think that it will give it just that little more flavor I wanted. Another great recipe to add to my collection. Thanks!

This was great! I used this marinade on a couple of boneless pork loin chops and served it with greek-style potatoes and salad!

Awesome recipe! This souvlaki rivals any you could get at a restaurant. I love it and the attached Tzatziki is great as well. You'll love it!
